If it’s our first time working together, you’re eligible for a free mix or master sample on one track. Here’s how it works:
Share your rough mix and references.
I’ll return a free sample within 3 business days, often sooner, via a private listening link. If you like it, you can pay there and download the WAV. If you don’t like it, there is no need to pay.
If you like the direction and want to continue, we’ll discuss scope, timeline, and price.

My goal is to help your unique vision come to life. To help us both get a feel for the creative chemistry, I offer a free sample so we can see if I’m the right fit for your project.
-
Booking a discovery call helps me set the right price with you based on your project, goals, timeline, and budget. Many factors affect how much time and effort the project needs, and fixed prices don’t always fit.

Email keeps everything in one place and clearly documented. You can reach me at dave@daveransom.com. Please use the same email address throughout a project—it makes a real difference.

Turnaround depends on type, size, complexity, responsiveness, and the number and length of feedback cycles. Mastering projects of 5–10 songs typically take 3–5 business days. Mixing projects of similar size take 7–10 business days. My working hours are 9 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday (Mountain Time), excluding U.S. and school holidays. As a husband and parent to two young kids, I keep work—including email—within those hours. Clear boundaries help me do my best work.

Mixing is collaborative. It includes organizing tracks, gain staging, blending and balancing, automation, and applying processing and effects to regions, individual, grouped, bussed, and master tracks.
It does not include re‑recording, recording additional parts, arranging, editing, comping, or mastering. I’m happy to work with artists and with designated points of contact such as a producer or recording engineer.

By default, feedback is limited to three back‑and‑forths per track to keep things moving - unless otherwise agreed.

Because audio files can be large, I use WeTransfer. Please don’t send files over email or text; version control quickly becomes a challenge.
